The Forge 12 is built solar-ready as standard — and with our optional solar and battery package it can run off-grid on remote Central Queensland blocks. A certified Class 1A home that makes its own power.
Every Forge 12 leaves our workshop solar-ready: a Colorbond roof suited to panels and a fully AS/NZS 3000 compliant electrical system. That means adding solar is straightforward — not a retrofit headache.
From there, solar is an optional add-on package. We supply and coordinate the panels — and battery storage if you want it — sized to how you'll use the home. Whether you're cutting power bills on a suburban block or going fully off-grid on acreage, the home is ready for it.

Plenty of "off-grid cabins" are really just sheds or caravans with panels bolted on — which leaves you with the same problem: they can't be council-approved, insured or rented as a home. The Forge 12 is different. It's certified NCC Class 1A, so you get genuine off-grid independence in a dwelling that's still a permanent, approvable, insurable home.
